As March is inching forward, we are nearing the end of winter. Leaving for work in the daylight and coming home in daylight instantly lifts our spirits as we look forward to the spring.

To brighten things up even more, we have some easy recipes for you to try out. Students work with fresh seasonal farmers' produce and other healthful ingredients to prepare gourmet meals in a relaxed setting. Each student receives a recipe packet and all classes end with a sit-down dinner.

What you'll absorb in this healthy cooking class:
Acquire how to make healthy choices and create mouth-watering meals that you, your family, and friends will love.

Each week focuses on basic cooking technique: sautéing, roasting, and grilling. We'll make sauces, practice knife skills, and arm you with lots of other basics.

Class starts in the dining room, where you meet the chef and your classmates to discuss the menu and how to prepare it. Then you don aprons and, under the chef's watchful eye and with help, if needed, you prepare your ingredients.

Prep finished, it's time to cook. When cooking is completed, we will gather around the table for tasty food cooked by you.

No need to bring anything but your hunger for good food and your thirst for knowledge.

Recipes are only a guideline. Feel comfortable replacing ingredients with similar ingredients that you like. If you like oregano but not thyme, use oregano.
