Welcome to ManChefs School of Cooking.

The leading Toronto Cookery School where we teach classic and creative culinary skills in a professional but informal manner. In our classes you will learn how to interpret recipes, handle cooking equipment, understand technical terms and produce delicious food. You will learn how to cook & entertain at home confidently and efficiently.



Gourmets Team Cooking

This is a high paced, fun and competitive culinary event where Culinary Teams will compete side by side creating out of this world dishes with the objective of winning over the judge's taste buds. You'll have a limited time at each of the cooking stations to create your meal extraordinaire. The event will be under the watchful eye of a professional chef who will give all the best tips on making your best efforts successful and fun, keeping in mind if you burn you learns! In culinary team building, victory is sweet!




Chicken &
Salmon Burgers



Ingredients:

  • 1 piece of Salmon, or Chicken Breast
  • 2-3 slices of tomato
  • 2-3 leaves of romaine lettuce
  • 3-4 slices of cucumber
  • salt & pepper
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Lemon Juice

Directions:
  • Place the romaine and the cucumber in the fridge for a few minutes, this enhanced the crunchiness.
  • Slice the tomato, the cucumber and cut the romaine so it fits nicely on the bun (use the lighter part and discard the dark green part of the leaves).
  • Spray a grill pan with a little extra virgin olive oil, medium-high heat.
  • Season the salmon or chicken with salt & pepper& lemon juice place in the grill pan, skin side down. Grill for about 3-4 minutes, flip over, grill for another 2-3 minutes (depending on thickness) Chicken will take a little longer.
  • In the meantime toast the bun in an oven or toaster oven.
  • Arrange everything on the bun, tomato first, then romaine, then fish or chicken and cucumber.
  • This can be served with a dipping sauce, like balsamic yoghurt, or a light yoghurt-cocktail sauce, for the chicken honey mustard.
